The whole Philippines and the whole wide world is very excited and can’t wait to watch the most awaited upcoming International beauty pageant hosted by Sao Paolo, Brazil this time. Almost 89 lovely ladies around the world will go to join the said prestigious beauty contest in the universe.This is actually the 60th anniversary of Miss Universe since it was first introduced in 1952. It is an annual international event which is run by the Miss Universe Organization. It is said to be the most publicized beauty pageants with over 750 millions of viewers around the world.

This coming September 12, 2011 in Sao Paolo, Brazil another milestone of Miss Universe will happen as previous titleholder, Ximena Navarrete of Mexico will crowned her new successor at the end of this event. Many have said that it is going to be the strongest batch in the history of Miss Universe because 89 different beauties around the universe will compete for the Miss Universe crown. Actually this is the very first time of host country, Brazil to hold this most prestigious and most awaited beauty event in the universe in its 60 years history. In addition to this international beauty event, Brazil is hosting to the 2014 World Cup and of course the 2016 Summer Olympic Games.

So far the candidates that shines is from Netherlands, China,Costa Rica, USA, Brazil, Malaysia, Greece, Paraguay, Ukraine, Australia, Angola, Albania, Venezuela and Puerto Rico are considered as the favorites contestants in this early stage of the competition. And Miss Universe Philippines, Shamcey Supsup is currently leading in online poll as she earned 25% of the total number of online votes. She was followed by the delegates from Puerto Rico, Mexico and Indonesia.

The presenter’s for this year annual beauty pageant are Andy Cohen and Natalie Morales. The network that will broadcast this most awaited event in the universe are the NBC, Telemundo and Band (Brazil).
